So, have you guys seen the new
Sinful Color collections popping up all over the place? Recently, they have put out SO MUCH new stuff that is is a bit overwhelming, in a good way, trying to hunt them down. But! I have, and today I have one of them to share with you, Steel My Heart. I was happy to know I wasn't the only person who initially found it to be really similar to Fig. So much so, that I almost passed it up. Thankfully, my beloved hubster talked me out of that nonsense and I picked it up at the end. How do they compare? Well, keep reading to check it out:

Let's start with the new kid on the block: Sinful Colors Steel My Heart. I am wearing two coats in the picture below.

Dude, Steel My Heart is seriously gorgeous! It has a berry-reddish jelly base packed with tons of magenta shimmer. It applied smoothly and evenly.
So, let's compare it to Fig now! I am wearing two coats of each in alternating fingers: Steel My Heart on middle and pinky and Fig on my index and ring.

Alright, we knew it... it was pretty evident from the bottles side by side alone: these two are not exact dupes. However! On the nail, they are absolutely different colors all-together.

The base on Fig is a purple creame, while Steel My Heart's is a berry-red jelly. Fig is
also packed with magenta shimmer and it is gorgeous. The application was flawless, we are talking about a one-coater here.
So, in conclusion: do we have a dupe? Nope. Although Fig
does have magenta shimmer in it, the base is so absolutely different that I am hesitant to even declare these two shades
similar.
So there you go guys, I am declaring these two officially different shades. No winners or losers here, you need them both! Just do it.

These are both gorgeous!! I have picked up/set down Fig so many times...methinks I need to get it. And since Steel My Heart is the J word, I need that one too. :P

DeleteSinful is .99 at Walgreens this week with the balance reward card until Saturday the 7th. And Fig is part of the core colors now. Plus Steel my Heart should be in the new display there too!
ReplyDeleteIt is an exciting and sad day when I find out about the sale right after purchasing basically all the new colors! lol! Oh well... the nice part is they are pretty affordable to begin with. I did buy Gogo Girl, which I thought I had but didn't which was pretty rewarding lol! Thanks for stopping by! <3
