FingerPaints Masquerade Affair Collection Swatches

*Purchased by me*

You guys, I think I jinxed myself.  Just last week I was telling you about how good this summer has been to my nails in terms of length and overall health.  Well... that lasted through yesterday.  I broke the nail on my  middle finger in a rather ironic (and stupid) way.  I went to Sally's and picked up the rest of this Masquerade Affair collection (I shared Queen For A Night here) and managed to bang my nail against the nail polish bag, with the tip flying off to the unkowns.  I would have probably tried to repair it had I not physically lost it but in any case, this is the reason why my nails are shorter and it's going to take me a little to get used to them, I can tell already from applying these beautiful babies I have to share with you today.  So, without further ado, here is the FingerPaints Masquerade Affair Collection:

Let me just say, even though carnival season is probably as far out as it gets in the year right now, I'm totally feeling this collection.  I think it's the costume factor of a masquerade, it seems to fit with Halloween around the corner, don't you think?  Here is the display:

The first shade I have for you from this collection should look familiar.  It is Queen For A Night, and I had shared it with you here.  I decided to re-swatch it with the shorter nails for the sake of consistency in this review, and because I like it so much!  Here you see two coats, no topcoat.

The next shade I have for you today is Masked Beauty.  Masked Beauty is the more metallic finish in the collection and it's this pretty gold.  You are looking at two coats.

Next up is the purple rebel in this collection, Dance Til Dawn.  I am wearing two coats  with topcoat to smooth out the finish, because it applied a bit gloopy.

The last shade in this collection is this pretty green, Ball Gown Glamour.  I am wearing two coats for today's pictures, no topcoat.

I absolutely loved this collection.  The formulas were perfection, except for Dance Til Dawn -which was a little bit thicker- but easily solved with a couple drops of thinner.  I just added topcoat at the end.  I purchased these polishes at Sally Beauty Supply for around $4.99 each.

Well, that is it for today!  I hope you guys are having a great day.

    1. I wore Queen For a Night for about 18 hours and didn't notice any staining. I always wear a basecoat though, and my nails aren't too prone to staining so I'd say err on the safe side and double up on dat base! I really loved all of these, thank you Phoebe! <3
