SpaRitual Running with Wolves / China Glaze Boo-Gie Down
I suffer from dermatitis. When I am stressed out (which I am!), the skin on my hands gets super dry, flaky and starts to crack... there is nothing I can do but moisturize and wait it out, so my apologies for my yucky, dry, blistery skin.
I am not usually drawn to metallic colors, but what can I do if it's autumn and I have quite a few beauties waiting for their own chance to shine in my isolated little stay at home mom world? Well, bring it to the internet of course!
I have a confession, I almost feel guilty to say it because I am so lucky... but here we go. My nail polish buddy in real life, is my husband. There, I said it. He LOVES my nail polish hobby... so much so, that he finances it entirely! In any case, HE is a fan of metallics. I was feeling a bit uninspired today and he chose this next shade for me, isn't it neat?
First off, we have SpaRitual Running with Wolves. It is a metallic copper, very pigmented, two layers were all it took, take a look!

Peacock Portrait - Finger Paints.
Finger Paints is a brand that is relatively new to me, and the only place I know that carries it is Sally's Beauty Supply. A couple of weeks ago I noticed they added two new colors to their permanent display (I believe they had previously been released as LE), and I picked up one of them:

Sally Hansen Pink Sprinkle
Sometime this spring, Sally Hansen brought out their Sugar Coat collection and joined the textured polish craze. I didn't like them, and I did not read ONE good review on them so I know I wasn't alone. The problem seemed to be dullness: they all looked like textured walls. Well, brace yourselves for a bombshell!
I have a SH Sugar Coat to share today, Pink Sprinkle (230). To see more swatches from this line, please click here.
Okay, now we are talking about an amazing polish with SO. MUCH. DEPTH!

China Glaze Bat My Eyes
I almost passed up this shade. The
real reason I picked it up was because it turned out to be free.
Boy, am I glad I did! I thought it would be interesting to compare
it to last year's Halloween Collection's Cast a Spell. Dear Goddess,
was I wrong! Outside the colors, they are not even close. Take a
look at Bat My Eyes:

Revlon Elusive
I went to Rite Aid in search of the new Sinful Colors Christmas display that are starting to show up. I didn't find it yet, but as I looked through the new Revlon section my heart skipped a beat. Revlon had a BOGO half off sale and I spotted a new shade! Revlon Elusive is another one of those "too cool for words" wonders; it has different sized green-to-turquoise iridescent glitter suspended in an opaque black base. I will have to apologize for my technology; my Canon insists on warming up this picture, so here is my attempt to bring it back to true color, which resulted in shrimp skin! So with that in mind, get ready for some true eye-candy gone wrong:
China Glaze - Queen B
You know how there are certain people who will always stand out in your memory? That is my story with my old friend B. She is British and a beauty queen, so the minute I saw this polish my mind immediately jumped to her. Hi B!
I had been looking forward to the Autumn Nights collection from China Glaze, and after it hit my local Sally Beauty, China Glazes went on sale at Ulta. What a first world problem ladies and gentlemen! I waited three weeks for it to land there and be able to also pick up my favorites from the Monster Ball collection *they* have going on over at Ulta, but no! They said it might land on Friday next week but I just couldn't wait any longer, had to go pick this up and now I want to share it with you.

Sinful Colors - Black Magic
I love everything about Halloween and Halloween season. It's the season I identify with most personally, and it's not because I am stuck in a teenage goth phase, but because I love the night and it feels like Halloween has a night theme, so I go bananas for the colors. Speaking of Halloween, I want to share my most recent Sinful Colors purchase: Black Magic. Black Magic is gunmetal micro-glitter packed with round copper/orange glitter suspended in a clear base. Can we say my nails are on fire at this point?

Wet N Wild - Night Prowl / Boise
My favorite kind of polish is the kind I can get for under a dollar. Ok, unique polishes are also my favorite. But there is something about getting a bottle of polish for less than a chocolate bar that throws me into a complete state of bliss, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
A few weeks ago, I noticed the entire Wet N Wild's Shine line was on sale for 67 cents. Needless to say, I grabbed the ones that looked ok to me and today I will show you one of the two bottles that blew my mind!

Sinful Colors: SinfulShine - Patent Pleasure
I get excited about nail polish colors with a twist. It's such a rush: you spot a color you like, you take it in your hand and suddenly, you realize you will not be able to put that sucker down. Anyways, it definitely happens to me more than I'd care to admit to my non-addicted-to-polish friends, and thankfully I don't have to make such confessions to my team-mates or family.
The polish I have for you today, Sinful Colors/SinfulShine Patent Pleasure, is exactly one of those examples. I went to Walgreens and it turns out the entire SinfulShine collection is on sale (with wellness card), so I went on a mission this week! I really liked this color: It's a bright coral orange and upon closer inspection, it has the slightest hint of green shimmer/duo-chrome effect. Oh God! I tried it out today. Here it is!

SinfulShine - Slick
It's a little embarrassing to confess,
but I spend the bulk of my “mani time” looking through my stash,
basking in the glory of my pretty bottles and varieties. Of course I
am not alone in this, but the point I was trying to make was this:
when I go in with a “grab a color that inspires you” attitude, my
search usually ends at my Sinful Colors drawers, because it's where I
usually find my favorite pretties.
Today, I will share with you one of the
new shades from the SinfulShine line: Slick (1336).
